Anti-Oxidant Formulation (240g) and Ageing
Cellular Protection
Oxidants (free radicals) accelerate the aging process by disrupting body cells and causing cross-linking of proteins making them rigid and immovable. One example of aging is wrinkles. Because of modern pollutants the anti-oxidants found in a natural form in the body are not enough, therefore we should supplement.
Description
METABOLE Anti Oxidant Formulation for slowing down ageing (MSM)
Free radicals (or oxidants) are reactor molecules that occur naturally in air around us (where they are generated by the action of UV radiation from the Sun) and form part of the oxygen we breathe in every day. Free radicals in our atmosphere are responsible for such diverse reactions as rusting (or oxidation) of metals and for the hardening of rubber for example car wiper blades by cross linking the individual rubber molecules.
Obviously free radicals have an effect on all living forms as well (plants and animals including humans) and the free radical theory of ageing is currently the most popular explanation for why we grow old. Other factors such as pollution, smoking, food additives etc also contribute to free radical formation so that modern man is more subject to oxidative damage than ever before.
Fortunately living organisms have built in mechanisms to stop free radical damage but in the case of man these may not always be enough. Plants for example have an array of different chemicals, flavones isoterpenes etc to protect them from free radicals, especially their fruits (seeds) and accounts for the proliferation of colours found in plants blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, strawberries, all of which are rich in antioxidants. Animals including humans can benefit greatly by eating these different plant compounds manufactured against free radicals for our own use.
Humans also have endogenous ways of neutralising excess free radicals in the body. For example an enzyme called super oxide dismutase occurs in the blood and neutralises super oxide free radicals, or glutathione and tripeptide which is a potent free radical scavenger and is made in the body.
Metabole’s antioxidant formulation includes not only exogenous antioxidants such as betacarotene, coenzyme Q 10, vitamin E, vitamin C and phytochemical which directly neutralise free radicals in the body, but also provides cofactors such as selenium to enhance the effects of super oxide dismutase. In addition Metabole’s antioxidant formation also includes methionine which isconverted in the body to form part of glutathione, the potent endogenous free radical scavengers.
Look for this combination of nutrients when selecting and an antioxidant formula.
LABEL:
Oxidants (free radicals) accelerate the aging process by disrupting body cells and causing cross-linking of proteins making them rigid and immovable. One example of aging is wrinkles. Because of modern pollutants the anti-oxidants found in a natural form in the body are not enough, therefore we should supplement.
Apart from cofactors to enhance the effects of the bodies own oxidant fighters, Antioxidant Formulation also include antioxidants from other plant forms which directly neutralise free radicals in the body. In addition Antioxidant Formation also includes ingredient which are converted in the body to form potent free radical scavengers.
Like all the Metabole’s powder products no artificial ingredients are included in the formulation which works together as a synergistic whole.
Antioxidant Formulation is in a powder form that can be taken to suit individual requirements. Powders are already in a digested form with ascorbic acid being the end product which gives rapid absorption and optimally metabolised.
DOSAGE:
